What is the best disease/fungicide control I can use. Due to my dense leaf cover, high humidity, high temps and heat indexes, and mister and rain, my soil does not seem to dry out under the leaf canopy. I've stopped using the misters. I am very worried about disease and fungus and want something to spray with. I was using Ortho Disease control but have run out of that. Any suggestions? I have been slowly trying to thin the leaves but also do not want to thin them in the event I actually get a pumpkin set.

I had problems with root rot (pythium I think) and solved it with Aliette, which is a good systemic fungicide. Agri-Fos is a similar product tht I may start using next year. I also dug drainage ditches and raised the patches to help drain the soil and I use Jobes and Espoma organic fertilizers with quite a few types of beneficia bacteria. I have gone from having the entire patch wiped out to no sign of the disease problem.

Treat before you see any disease, If you don't want to spend lots of money use Immunox plus, Home depot carries it ,by spectricide , 12$ bottle , Dont go heavy , unless you already see something ! But do cover especially under leaves , put a few drops dishsoap in as a sticker, Spray a few hours before dark !!
