I'm thinking about using a drip irriagation system next year. To those that use this type of irrigation system what were the pro's and con's?

Thank you.

cons-lots of work to set up, expensive
pros-easy to water once set up, efficient, even watering, can customize to get water only where you want it, more valves=more versatility, keeps water off leaves to reduce pm and not wash off foliar sprays

Kurty, The best site to look at would be dripworks.com. They have many types of drip lines and show you how to set it up and what you need. Drip tape is a easy way to water your pumpkins, but takes time to set up and take down. Hope this helps.

Kurty,One thing to keep in mind is if you plan on reusing it, buy a higher mil tape. 8 mil will work but 10 and higher (15)is better. 6 mil is pretty fragile and sometimes if your not careful, you can tear it and not notice a leak till its flooded everywhere. Just remember to pay attention to filtration requirements and if your water has iron in it, you can run into plugging if you plan on reusing for several years like MinnesotaChad.
