there is a fish hatchery near me and was wondering if i cold use the fish poo right from the holding pens to the garden or if i have to let it sit in the compost pile awhile and was wondering if it would be worth while to do and any thoughts on how to use it tea or let it dry and put on any info would be helpfull thanks duane

I would use it. I am thinking about buying a small amount from this company fish-itfertilizer.com it is fish poo. This company says nothing about composting it.

Huck, I live near a few fish hatcheries as well and have picked up many 50 gallon drums of salmon, trout and steelhead poop for our gardens and pumpkin patch.

It does not need composting and works into the native soil much like worm castings (has the same structure and consistency as worm poop).

I find it gives our gardens and patches a great tilth and really helps the overall structure of your soil.

All systems are go...till it right in!!
