I am in agronomy sales, and we have been using a product on our 11-52-0 (MAP) and 12-40-0-10S-1Z (MESZ) call PMAX, made by Rosens Inc. It keeps the phosphates and micronutrients from being tied up with the calcium in the soil. My question is, would too much available phosphate be bad for the pumpkin plants, especially when the fruits are growing?

Good info. I will use the PMAX, because our soils up here run about 7.8 pH. Hard to amend.

Warm and fairly dry. Best winter I can remember. Maybe had a foot of snow all year, and have enjoyed some great temperatures.

Talk to an agronomy sales center, and see what they have to add to phosphate fertilizer.
