Espoma also sell sulfate of potash (0-0-50) at an extreme premium. Jeff did good. Chuck got nailed but that's the going rate for Espoma specialty packaging.

Chuck we gotta find you a store in NJ. We'll check the list next week.

By the way. I spoke with Alan Reynolds today (I still don't have email & I'm sorry for having to polute this thread) & it sounds like he's in!!! 22 PLANTS!

Try Greenfire.net 0-0-52. It is in CA. I don't know what the postage would be. They carry organic fert. etc. Found this thanks to C&R Kolb.

Hello, I talked to a grower who has been growing pumpkins for 24 years. He feels that 0-0-60 is to much. It sends tomuch of a ripe up message to the plant to early. So I'm going to use 6-12-12 soon

The expertise of AGRO-K indicates or advises 10-8-8 up to about Sept. 5th with Vigor-Cal, fish and kelp alternated to add weight and maintain modest growth. They advise Symbex 10 which is a builder of underground ballences as well as offering many trace elements. Symbex 10 helps breakdown the fungicides and synthetics many use to fight insects and fungi on top of the ground.

DRIED BLOOD would be fine at 10 - 12% N with 2 ounces per gallon of water, molasses added. This is a slow easy approach. Fish and kelp should stay alternating daily in the misting or spraying on program. You can drop the molasses in with the other liquids you are using. Molasses added at reduced rate more often would be better. Molasses will add to the value of all that you are applying. It may be as standard as the use of fish and kelp.

An other option might be feather meal with even a slightly higher N factor over the longer period.

10 pounds of blood or feather meal fall and spring per 1000 square feet of patch should go a long way towards providing a study supply of N for the season and break down of fall added manures and leaves.

Supporting this I like Plant Success Mycorrhizae Super Endo helping to supply your roots. Joel Holland sells it as well as fish and kelp in the dehydrated form.

Several firms sell Calcium derived from Calcium Carbonate which can move PH like lime towards natural or a PH of 7.

It is about time to be thinking about another soil test for fall considerations.

Try using Monster Grow 20-40-0 and Bloom 0-50-30 I know them well and they give constant results. Its one of the highest quality ferts in the world and the nutrient ions are fully available for root uptake.
