I'm planning on getting a load of rabbit manure today or tomorrow and spread it around my vines and watering it in. I keep reading that it is a "cold" manure and you can use it any time. Any thoughts on this?

Since the last oats meadow in the garden, no more rabbit manure.

I would not get it to close to the vines. Although it is a cold manure. If it is piled up it will build up heat, when it gets moisture.

Rabbit manure attracts lots andf lots of earth worms. It can build up some heat. I used to show rabbits . I have had as many as 100. I had some of my best gardens when i used thier manure. i had no truoble with any kind of weeds.The feed i used was made mainly from alfapha. Wished I had some rabbits now so i did have thier manure... Greg

I will use any manure I can get my hands on. Any weeds that come along go down to the hoe and regular working of the soil.
