Got a few rain barrowls from work for FREE got 4 of them
was messing around hooking them up to each other on a ladder type set-up and was planning on running them off the evetroff off the house so when it rains this comeing spring they should all get filled up.. my only concerns are :

1. Mosquitos with the West Nile virus being so bad and all i really hate to have still water sitting around ( so will my neaighbours)

2. How good is this water for plants ?

3. anyone have any pictures or good information on there set-ups ?

Id like to have a SLOW type drip system set-up around my plants come 2004 so the plants always have water

Good idea or not or whats your suggestions?

thanks again

Hey Dave, Get some mosquito donuts and throw in the barrels they take care of the mosquito problem.

Rainwater good
Use lids on the barrels for mosquitos

lids are the answer dave..
but in reality, old tires, swampy lands, and rain gutters are the best place for mosquito larve.

Set some trouts in the barrels and feed them to the pumpkins if they are big and fat or make a grillparty.

A thimble full of kerosein will fix the larva. They will die under the oil film.
