Ok saw the oddest thing this afternoon.. Was out tilling
more leaves and compost into my garden and happened to take a peak over my fence into neighbours yard to look at his garden and there was NO dirt to be seen he bascially took cabbage and ripped it all up and dug the leaves into his garden along with just covering the entire top portion of his garden in these cabbage leaves as well ?? does this actually do anything for a garden?

I dont speak to him just because i dont understand him very well ( hes from Romania)SP??.... anyhow every year he has a wicked garden maybe theres a trick to adding these cabbage leaves i dont know about?? just thought id ask out of being curious.

thanks Dave

North of our town we have the largest cabbage cultivation in europe. The farmers only harvest the hard heads an plow the strunk and leaves under. They harvest the best cabbage in europe all years. So i think it could´nt be wrong.

At one time the back of the green grocers store was one of my pick ups. All those trimmings just go to waste. Then they chased me off thinking I was lifting post dated cheeze or whatever. Now the pet pig owners stand in line for it.
...That's OK those oinks have to eat too....and they pay a dollar for a huge bag of trimmings.
