Was wondering if chestnut leaves are okay to compost?

I do not like to get any "nut leaves" into the patch in excess of 10% of the total amount of leaves going in. They compost slower. Grind them into as fine of pieces as you can. That will help. One caution. I would not even want 10% Walnut leaves. That is one to skimp on. A few blow ins are OK but to intentionally apply American Black Walnut leaves may create a problem.
