I just noticed that their seems to be a generic form of Companion called "Simple Success Companion Biological Fungicide". That is a good bit cheaper than the name brand.

So who is using it, and how do you like it ?

Is it helping you with any disease issues that you have had in the past ?

I don't think it's generic i think it has to do with packaging size smaller more homeowner sized

If you're looking for a "generic" formulation, I can sell a gallon of bacillus subtilus bacteria for $50 with standard usps flat rate box shipping included. I work for a wholesale manufacturing fertilizer company and we grow our own bacteria. It carries a soil amendment label.

Sure, we commercially manufactured / propagate bacteria for agricultural use. I'm a certified crop consultant with BioWest Ag Solutions based in Nampa, IdahoWhen I started looking into pumpkins I realized that we are using a lot of the products that pumpkin growers prefer-seaweed, minerals, humic acid, compost tea, fish fert, and bacteria. I have made these products avail able to my local club (Utah) during our spring seminar. I have recently discovered the flat rate shipping boxes that make it possible to ship liquids without paying more for freight than product. As a company, we don't have a retail presense, we don't sell jugs, we move volume at wholesale. As a pumpkin enthusiast, Im happy to fill jugs and sell to fellow pumpkin growers. I haven't figured out what shipping costs would be, but I could come up with a price list if there is interest. I just looked up a price on companion, $325. For 2.5 gallons (includes shipping) thats $130 / gallon!

Yes it is similar. Id say that Cease and Serenade are similar as well. There are lots of strains of bacillus that are beneficial to plants and do similar things. Once a company gets a patent on a strain it is promoted to be the best strain. Ours is a blend of 3 beneficial bacterias that are naturally occurring in the soil and is called "Defy". We've seen great results using Defy on sugar beets, potatoes, corn and grapes (for powdery mildew).
