Hi, I am going to install T-Tape for this coming season. The Tape is the 5/8" Diameter tape. I am just trying to find out how big i need to make the header pipe feeding the tape. The patch is total area is around 1900 sq ft, not that the total area will be used. Can anyone help me out by letting me know roughly what size header pipe i should most likely be using? Cheers. Peter.

The header I have is 3/4. It came in a kit that I bought from drip works. You only need to run it down one side of you patch. And then your t tapes can run parallel with the side vines. It came with a regulator to knock down the pressure but I found it worked with out the regulator. Test it to see if you need a regulator.

Cheers, The T-Tape works works fine with the 3/4, no need to go with a 1 inch line or larger?

Look up the manufacturer. Add up your total feet of tape and figure out your flow rate. It's usually gallons per hour with tape. You can then find a flow chart that can spec your header size. 3/4 is pretty standard.

1/2" mainline rated at 240 GPH 100' low output drip tape 8" on center 20 GPH Means it can have 12 one hundred ft tapes or the equivalent. if tapes are 16" apart it should cover 1733 sqft
