Hello,
I put my 2 plants in the patch on may 20th. I wonder if its maybe 2 much water that i give them, 3 times 10 liters for each. Is this 2 much or is it just right???

Hey there.....First three cheers, for the Germans, who came up with a product for snails and slugs called Sluggo. It is great. You have given a great product, to the world. When it breaks down it leaves a trace, of iron and possibly a small amount, of nitrogen.

Your water question has to do with the conditions in your patch. A rule of thumb is that a single plant might like about an inch of water a week. On a thousand sq. foot patch with two plants that are in 10% humus soil you might need less. Consequently a dry sandy location with low humus may need more. If you are using drip irrigation you may need less because of low evaporation rates. If it is sunny and windy for an extended period of time you may need more in overhead watering due to evaporation.

There just is not a pat one way answer. Maybe this will help you get a better feel for what your patch needs.
