We've had a lot of rain this year, and so the ground is constantly wet. Under these circumstances, I'm hesitant to water in ferts (seaweed,molasses,5-10-40, etc) because I don't want to drown the plants with even more water. I'm hoping somebody out there has run into this and has some experience to relate.

Many Thanks!

Mill Creek West by god Virginia

hi jmattw i just wanted to say here in west virginia we are having one of the worst springs and summer ever rain wise i mean we are getting betternthan a inch of rain every other day somedays over three heck i think im turning into a duck, anyway ive been foliar feeding fish kelp molasses along with the agro k program all along and i firmly beleive this is why my plants are doing well,it doesnt seem to be hurting them that the ground is staying wet so i say go ahead and fertilize i think it will work for ya just my opinion burrhead

These are the times to use granular fertilizers & let the inevitable rain wash them into the rootzone.

But NEVER apply any fertilizer to water logged soils.

Also be sure the "look" of a nutrient shortage isn't really a shortage of oxygen caused by too much water occupying the soils pore spaces.

Matt, May and June here the weather was really bad, cool and VERY VERY WET!! Dureing the wet period i stuck with simple every other day light foilers of mollases/kelp

things actually didnt get going in my patch till July,
now its HOT and DRY, Right now ive been sticking with a very weak deep drench weekly of Neptunes/fish-seaweed extract and a lightly foiler every other day of mollases/kelp.
