Please vote on the proposed change from the Americana Hotel to the Sheridan Hotel.

The Sheridan Hotel which is downtown Niagara and 300 yards from the falls. They are offering us the same conditions as the Americana. Room Rates at the Americana are now $109.00 and the Sheridan $99.00. Pool and proximity to the casino and all other ammenities are right there.

Yes = Move to the Sheridan
No = Stay at the Americana

Could someone clarify? Are we talking Sheridan or Sheraton? Even though I believe that there IS a Sheridan Ave. there, there are, I believe, TWO Sheraton Hotels in Niagara Falls, Ont. also If you're talking about the Sheraton Fallsview, I have stayed there. The Fallsview offers beautiful views of the Falls, but how many rooms will they put aside for us? (They also charge extra for parking.) Could someone please give the address/web site for the place we're talking about, so we are informed before we make any decisions? Thanks!

The Sheraton Fallsview is at 6755 Fallsview Blvd. The Sheraton On the Falls is at 5875 Falls Ave. I can't find any address for The Sheridan. Which one of the three are we talking about?

To me $10 doesn't matter one way or the other.

We need the gratuity room to be at the end of a hall next door to one of our own rooms. Preferably larger & on the same floor as all the rest of the rooms to avoid disturbing our neighbors again.

The actual conference facilities need to be a good deal larger as well.

Would this move increase the cost of the seminar? The Americana has recently completed their swim "park", and I believe increase rates are to recoup the money they spent on it. The lowest price is not always the best, but perhaps the Americana, faced with losing our business, would match or beat the competition's price. Just a few things to consider while we're waiting to find out where the alternative is located!

i think the reason, if there is one, that they would have it earlier in March than later, is that if it's later, well, there goes a prime weekend where i or we could be getting some soil preparation done, being that it would be closer to the actual growing season's start.
chances are, though, that i am just making that the reason and believing it. lol. it is probably something to do with how busy it is that time of year.
's' far as i'm concerned, i would be happy if it was even earlier, but no earlier than New Year's Eve-lol........................ eric

It's indoors, and as I remember, extremely warm and humid! I have stayed at the Sheraton Fallsview for 4 years now. Even though I rank them a "cut above" the AmeriCana(the view is primo!), there are other amenities that aren't necessarily better, that you will be finding yourself paying more for! I'm just hoping everyone is well informed before voting "yes"! I have no affiliation with either place, but saving $10 on a room can be easily "made up" in other ways! Don't say I didn't warn you!

Parking used to be free, now I believe it's an additional $10-12. (Good for the entire time of your stay.) They also have a Sunday brunch buffet. By putting "Fallsview webcam" into your searchbox, you can find out more about the hotel and see live photos of the falls! All of the rooms may not offer a view of the falls. I'm sure Dave and the gang will work out all the details for us!

good move dave, Rennaisance is right across the street, hilton and casino is two blocks away the new one, and theres a brand new mall connected too the Casino called the Galleria and a lot of restaaurants in a two block radius. Keg Outback, etc etc. Good move

I have stayed at the Sheridan and it is very nice. It took all of 5 minutes for a friend and I to walk down to the falls. There was even an inexpensive vertically inclined "train" to move people up and down the steep slope.
