Glads are so pretty so I bought some bulbs today. Now I don't know what to do with them. I read that they should be 4-6 inches deep and about 6 inches spaced apart. What else should I know???

That you have to dig them up in the fall...:)

They usually need some sort of support as wind and rain will lay them down. They like mulching.

Glads do well even if we do nothing to them around here. Just plant in a full sun - well drained location. You can fertilize them to encourage a larger flashier flower display.

Brigitte, My wife and I planted over a hundred glad bulbs last year. I wouldnt suggest planting them quite that deep though. We've found that just covered works best. Once they get going, just hit em with miracle gro once a week and some fish every once in a while and sit back and enjoy the show. By the way, you might want to invest in some of those green bamboo stakes and some ties to support them. Some of ours got over 5 feet tall. Good luck.

I have read that by staggering the depths that the corms are planted will give a longer bloom season. The deeper planted corms take longer to mature and hence bloom at a later date.
