I went to get out my left over 10 10 10 fertilizer this morning and found it had started to decompose right in the bag. No water has hit it....just dampness. Would it still pack its usual wallop or should I buy new for my garden? (Our garden has been heavily manured besides....but I always use both it and the 10 10 10.

It is still fertilizer...lol just with moisture...Spreading it when it is clumped is the tricky part

If it was a homogenous or ammoniated material then the potency will slowly degrade & clump. Bulk blended materials will just get clumpy.
I agree with Shannon about the spreadability. If the physical condition prevents accurate use....don't.

I bought new and put it on this morning....in the rain! We planted last week and I was careful not to get any fertilizer on the little potato plants that are up already! I just strewed it as i walked up the rows.
