Every year I grow peas in my garden, and every year I have noticed little white bugs/grubs in some of the peas when I shell them. Does anyone know what this bug/grub is and what pesticide I can use to kill it, while still making the peas safe to eat?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like Pea moth caterpillars(look like maggots) You can get moth traps which use pheromones to lure in the male moth.No males no caterpillars.

Or you can spray a week after flowering.

Down here David we start spraying as the blooms start..We are limited on the farms as to what we can use...And we spray from that point on...We are talking 10-20 acres of peas at the time....
