I am growing pickles but dont know how to get it to a pickle any help would by appreciated. after i get the cucumber to the size i want what do i do?

You need a book on canning...you pack the little cukes in the jar, poor in the brine.

We grew pickling cukes for a while. My wife has a recipe somewhere for the best B&B pickles I have ever eaten. I'll ask her if she still has it.

There are 2 types of cucumbers: pickling and slicing cucumbers. Be sure to grow one of the pickling varieties. If you try pickling the slicing varieties they tend to get a little mushy. I learned that from experience. Also, don't let them get too big. The smaller they are, the crisper they will be.
