I need some pointers! When is it ready? Any special care to be taken after removing it from the stalk? Is there a market for it?

I grew it just for grins and it has done quite well. Hate to give it away! Will people buy it? What will they pay?

When the husk is fully dry, and the kernels hard. Harvest it keeping the husk on. Remove the silk and hang. You have to create your own market for it. It normally sells for .75 cents a cob. If you have the right variety it may get more. We always have a lot of corn and gourds left over at the end of the season. We sell a Variety called Green and Gold that people like. Looks like John Deere, or Packer Corn.

Jamie, send the corn...and I will be there when the fee payin time comes around...hopefully we find a spot and a sponsor that takes care of it!!!!!!!!!!
