Has any one sprayed this stuff to kill it if so what with. I have it growing over a area in around one of my duck ponds and want to get rid of it without killing everything else around it.

Steve. Do you have Roundup Glyphosate Herbicide in NZ ? If so that will get rid of Honeysuckle real good but you may have to painstakingly apply it with a paint brush or roller due to the close proximity to the Ponds. However, if you don't mind a blanket kill, and the Honeysuckle is being extremely invasive over a large area, you might have to just grit yer teeth and spray the lot. We recently sprayed off a large area of deadly nightshade and got total knock down with one application at 30 Ml of Roundup per Ltr of water. I have never come across a selective Spray for just knocking down Honeysuckle though.

Steve...Do I have the tool for you. His name is Bubbah...He loves to eat bushes, brambles and he promises he will give that honeysuckle a shot. I discussed it with him and he thinks he would like to take a winter vacation. He wants to know if you could get him a few girl friends though. I would seriously consider finding a few goats.

Shannon that very thought had crossed my mind we have two goat farms as next door neighbours and I know I could borrow a few of their big old garbage eaters but not sure how I could teach them what they can and cant eat.
Roundup was going to be my spray of choice so I think it will be a case of spray all and see what else dies.

Steve. We use an Agricultural concentrate version of Roundup and as mentioned above use 30 Ml Roundup to 1 Ltr of water for knock down of vining plants. If you use a store bought Gardeners version of Roundup just add 5 Ml per Ltr to what is recomended for Thistles & Nettles. Should work good at that rate and please let us know the results.
