OK I have hosted this for 3 years now. Each year gets better and better. We get alot of questions about what the seed exchange is. Here is how it works. First you send us seeds from your giant or odd vegetable. Keeping in mind it can be anything but an atlantic giant pumpkin or squash. We prefer to have enough exchanges for atleast 20 people. Then we sort,package and redistribute the seeds to the participants. We also prefer to have them individually placed in the little envelopes. Please note the address change.

If you are interested let us know what you are contributing so we can get a wide variety with out to many of the same thing. Otherwise 20 people exchanging long gourd seeds just isn't as much fun.

I'm not sure if anyone would be interested in it or not but I made a controlled tomato cross pollination this year that I'd be happy to donate to the cause. Giant Belgium(F) x 4.83 Wilson(M). The 4.83 Wilson pollinator is a Big Zac.

I used the cross pollination technique outlined at this website: http://www.avrdc.org/LC/tomato/hybrid/08emasc.html I have no clue what the resulting seeds will produce but I crossed them anyway!

Brian if we were normal growers we would say...nooooo but we grow vegetables to see how big we can get them...plus that tomato sounds tastey.

This one is a big 'IF' depending if it flowers before frost. I may not even collect seed for myself. Cross your fingers! Amaranthus Australis (common name - Giant Amaranth) - Scientific studies have reported this stuff getting as tall as 20 ft.

Linus (Shannon), once again nothing much to send...another hot year here in the Ohio river valley...but...I now have a late crop of Swan Neck Gourds...and some of them are absolutely huge...how much time do I have to get my seed in to be a participant? Peace, Wayne

I have a few ears of Mexican June Giant, stalks were over 16 ft. I also have seeds from a mammoth muliheaded variety of Dill if acceptable, Grew two plants this year they had 100+ seed heads and were over 9 ft tall. I Know its not a veggie but were giants. Also Giant Sunflowers but was not a controlled pollination. What would be acceptable.

i love the giant veggie exchange!! i can do cantalope seeds. i can send fig leaf gourd seeds. not giant but cooler than heck. is that ok or no??

Hi, always miss this, not this time.
Got (most likely anyway, depending on as long as there's no rot, bugs or other stuff I can't see in the seeds):
Very tall Jala Maize
Almost 7 ft long gourds
Some sunflowers that were giant in theory, but I don't know how to do em I guess.
Various types of wild/planted heirloom tomatoes
Marrow
Small ornamental gourds
And finally, well they're the opposite of giant, but why would you ever not want to put some in, Multiple thousands and thousands of seeds from jack be littles.

I think we might have scratch my giant runner beans off the list. I'm doubting I have enough beans to support the number of people on here. I might be able to get 1 bean per person.

If you guys are lucky, I might be able to get some seeds from giant amaranth. I'm starting to see seed heads forms on the ends. I measured the stem today and it's at a whopping 14 inches in circumference, and still growing.
