OK yall, I sure there are some "Good Stuff to Know" tidbits on growing Giant WaterMelons, Tomatoes, and Cantelopes.......Is it similar to growing the pumpkins as in one veggie per plant after you think you have a big one going, or do you have several per plant? CHristmas tree pattern?
I have grown garden stuff very successful for 20 years but never tried for size.......
Please Advise

I would guess that you really need to learn each new thing. That is, I thought I knew how to grow long gourds, but then I read the article that Mr. Lyons wrote on the GVGO site, wow, there was a lot of information there that I hadn't thought of before.

As for giant tomatoes, I'd like to learn about that as well, mostly because I think it would help me become a better grower of regular tomatoes. There is a certain way of pruning tomato plants, but I'm not sure how to do it.

Gary, your a GVGO member. Check out the website (www.gvgo.ca) for articles about how to grow giant tomatoes, long gourds, cabbage & watermelons. We hope to have updated tall corn & sunflower instructions soon. It just takes time to get it done. Hope this helps.
