Hi Everbody I am looking at planting some artichokes here in Australia and was just wanting to ask a couple of quick questions? What are the main varieties grown? I have heard of emerald and kiss of burgundy. Are these any good? Good luck with your pumpkins Down under

Hi I live in calif. A place called castorville, calif is suppose to be the capital of the world in growing artichokes. You might looked them up and see if there is a web sight . also artichokes are grown here some. I have seen a small farmer growing them here for about 10 years. He has about 5 acres of them. It gets very hot here in the summer. But he has learned how to grow them even here where its hot. Castorville is on the Central coast of calif where its alot cooler and suppose to have the perfect climate for them. I have tried to grow them here , but keep killing them. One day I,ll get it right... Greg
