We are growing Diakon radishes this year. They are oriental radishes but from what part of the orient I do not know. They grow up to 15 inches. Some even say up to 24 inches. They are suppose to be a late fall radish but we are trying some now and then some in the late fall.

Lat year I grew some Giant Sakurajimara radishes from Burgess seeds.

I planted them at my plac ein NY with no care. I had one that was nice, but it wasn't nearly as large as listed.

I believe that the sizes given are those under ideal conditions done at their labratories. I really never expect what is shown on the packages. Still in all it is still fun growing them.

I just let the seeds fall last year. I'm letting them self-sown in the garden. I'll keep the big ones and pull the smaller ones. After a few years, I might be able to get better results with this variety.
