I have many vines this year with a bumper crop of these little melons. Once they turn yellow orange, they will smell like heaven for the house. If anyone needs some seeds, I am selling them for 25 seeds for a $dollar. They should be ready around the end of August, first of Sept. I cant wait to see the face on all the local farmers when I bring some to the farmers market. I surprise them each week with something different and they all say the same thing. " I haven't seen that since I was a boy on the farm where I grew up." It is great to bring back some of these forgotten favorites and light up the eyes of the old timers there at the farmers market. If you would like some seeds, please email me at jlbook@mindspring.com or on this email jb_book@bellsouth.net. Take care, Jared

I have collected over 75 fruit in one gathering last week. I am drying the seeds of about 10 that where really ripe and the rats started to eat on them. The other green and ripe ones are sitting all over the house, and it is a wonderful smell. I ate the first one today. Tasted like a cantalope. Very mild taste. I think I like them for the fragarance more than the taste. They are just plain cool and know one knows what they are when they see them. See YA!
