Ok, so I am no that smart when it comes to understanding the backs of seed packets. If a packet states 10-24 days to germination, and 80-90 days to maturity, do I add the two times together to get a total time for growing the plant or is it 80-90 days?

this is a tricky question, because the times are in ideal growing conditions, ussually a site that has good soil, water and ideal growing conditions.

ussually 80-90 days refers to from the time that it has germenated to harvest time. Unless it says days from transplant, ex tomatos peppers etc.

Cold weather, dry and supper hot weather somtimes slow the plant down.

hope this helps.

Good words from CCW...these directions do often make generalizations based on a supposed ideal growth condition.
