first year i've grown it and i dont know what to do now that it looks big enough to eat. also do i pull out all the leaves or just one. how long does it last and what do you do after harvesting

Head type: cut at stump...wash...open mouth and insert.
loose leafed: remove outer leaves as you wash it and open mouth, insert. Stop removing leaves when full.

rinse well...lettuce likes to trap sand and dirt..adding a little crunch to your lunch :)
