Subject:  Is marrow in the Zuccini family

Ok I am thinking of entering a giant marrow in the biggest Zuccini cattagory. I am prety sure thats what the guy who won it two yrs ago had.

So does anyone know the botanical name for giant marrow,

Is it in the same family as zuccini?

Any intel would greatly hellp me and dad out.

I think they're the same thing weather you call them courgettes marrows or zuccini

Marrows are vines...Zuchinnis are bushes except trombensco.

Guinness has them in 2 separate categories. Like Shannon said one is a bush/zucchini and the other is a vine plant, Marrow. A marrow will get twice a large as a zucchini. So therefore they should be in separate classes. Later Spud.

Marrows can be bushes as well,long green bush for instance.
