OK here goes...I have decided to do this insane seed exchange again. This year we are throwing in a twist. Since we all like pumpkins I threw them in the mix. Here is the deal. No more than two of one variety can participate. No giant pumpkin seeds. You can have giant pumpkin crosses such as a cinderella x AG. You will need to preapackage 2-3 of your own seeds. On your seeds please write what they are, any special growing conditions and last but not least who they are from. You will have to enroll to this post so we know how many growers are participating. Then we will post the number of participants. Enrollment will end December 15th, 2008.

You send the seeds with $3.00 for the return bubble that we provide.

Shannon ROCKS!!! amazing seed pkg year after year....7' long handled dipper gourd seeds will be sent...!!! I will wait for final count and then send that number of individual, labled seed pkgs w/ 2 or 3 seeds in each pkg, so all Shannon has to do is drop one in each of the outgoing bubbleopes, along w/ my $3 for postage and handling!!! Glen & Tom, and all...I hope that helps!!! Peace, Wayne
If you are into oddities, and giants, this is an incredible pkg to receive!!! It takes a little work, but well worth it!!!
Hope this helps!!!

Queensland, I have to open/cut a couple more to get more seeds for the giveaway.

I may through in a paris pumpkin, just depends seed count when i open it open for pie making this weekend.

How many packets should I include.
I was thinking 45-50 you could sell the extra bubbles as compensation for doing this.

The one I posted in the picture is called Uchima. I didn't get a single viable ear this year. I definitely won't put those in the veggie exchange. I had a variety named Gallina that I have about 5 kernels I was able to save. The frost was a bit early this year; so I wasn't able to save much. However, I did produce a lot of ears of Olotillo-Tuxpeno that I also was able to get to 20 feet. The ears are drying right now; so I should have more than enough of that to put in the exchange.

Do you send just one variety or would you like several packs? Where do we send them? Sorry not sure how this works but sounds interesting

Peace, Wayne

Owensboro, Ky.

Holloway, Shannon's email addy is in the first post on this thread. He should be able to answer all yer questions....and you are correct.....this is "interesting"!!!
PS..Shannon, if ya give em a big enough seed pkg...the horse (and the AG grower) will prbly grow a couple, 3 of em!!! Peace, Wayne
PPS...might be time to increase the postage contribution a little, startin to sound like a fat pkg!!!

OK In the end here is what will happen. Normally there are 20-30 participants. I will announce the number later. You prebag your exchange for the number of participants. Send it to me at the address provided here later. The reason I do this is if you do not respond to this post you can not participate.

Sorry you must be a part of this exchange also to get seeds. Often we will have the number over the number of participants by two. Then auction the two extra over to cover any extra postage.

C'mon yawll...less than 20 so far...and I would guess that sending more than set of seeds would be acceptable??? Go, Shannon, GO!!! Peace, Wayne

This is great - I planted 8 acres of regulars including a 1300 foot row of what my customers call "my designer pumpkins and gourds". Of course I had to plant 3/4 acre of AG which can be viewed under swaintech in grower diaries, October 31 swaintech shows finished carvings. I will send seeds from a 11 X 7 inch pure white club house gourd shape with a hint of wings on the sides and from two 18 X 3 inch tall striped gourds/pumpkins with about 6 colors in each.

It just wouldnt be the same if I didnt participate, I look forward to this every year.
If I can make one suggestion, toss in $5.00, the amount of seeds and the variety that you get is amazing, $5.00 doesnt even come near to covering the labor and postage.
Just my 2 cents.
Shannon can you post the address to send the seeds and postage to?
Thanks!

I'd like to participate.

What I have is a 711 Bosworth AG by a very nice looking galeux d'eysines.

Also have seed from a very impressive sunflower that was 15.5 inches in diameter. More if you followed the contour an not just straight across. However the pollination was not controlled and there were ornamental sunflowers in the vicinity... is this one worthwhile to send?

If you send with no seeds...your bubble will be placed in the garbage..I have no problem doing that. If your seeds are not individually packaged. They will be fed to the rabbits. Every one else knows the drill, this goes really smooth if everyone follows the instuctions.
