I have heard that by planting different plants near to each other you stop different bugs and infections does anybody know of any plant companions

Calendula flowers are great for controlling aphids, and they bloom all season...

Calendula do really great here in the winter. They last until it gets hot here. Also some people use them in salads.

Some Mints spread agressively, some don't. Choose wisely.
Worst case scenarion, after the pumpkin season ends, Roundup + 2,4-D and it's gone.

Hey Darky - do a site search under "darby".
He posted quite a few options for companion plantings.

I think a few were cat mint, garlic etc.
He should have a pretty good list.
