Let me see if I can word this right. If you buy a giant pumpkin seed out of, say a Henry Fields catalog, you are limited in how big your pumpkin will be because the seed is not as good as the ones you can get from a grower. So are their other vegetable seeds the same or are they the best you can get? If they are lower quality, then where can you get the good seeds from?

The seed companies sell for yield and eating quality,,so I would say No..although I am partial to heirlooms my self.

I am not after giant veggie seeds, just quality seeds to produce good eating veggies. Anybody try anything from the extremepumpkins.com store as far as seeds go? They sell from an organic company, they look decent. Tom feel free to chime in on what you know about them.

sounds like for what you want to plant any well known seed co. seeds will get the job done. Most of the common seed co. cater to the general public you can go to co. like Harris that is mainly for professional growers, but the seed costs more. If youwant heirloom seeds try Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds they have every heirloom you can think of and some you have never heard of. And yes Tom's seeds are excellant to.
