Any contact insectide will kill them..Do not spray merit on your potatoes. Soon you will be fighting Colorado Potato Beetles kill them before the produce larvae.

I read somewhere to never use Merit on vegetables that you are going to eat the root or leaf. Although it appears commercial growers use Admire on the potatoes. It should be also noted Colorado Potato Beetles build up a resistance to imidacloprid very quickly.
