They just got done cutting the hay in our field. The cut some but did not take it up. I was wondering if I can use this hay as mulch between the rows of my regular garden? The hay is mostly red clover and fescue. Any comments? At present, Im raking it up and tossing it over the fence for the cows and horses. Yea, I know get the manure but the farmer uses all that is made on is farm, I already asked. Thanks

It makes great mulch, it will save you alot of cultivation and weeding too.

If it is high quality alfalfa hay go for it. If it is weedy hay and you use it. I hope you enjoy weeding next year. :)
