The wife and I started to grow carnations last year and this year we have a bug that bores into the flower head be fore it opens and eats the blume clean out of it. Anyone Know what this little bugger is ????

No, but if you dust the plant with Sevin dust the bug will die after the first bite.

MY wife went out and pruned all of the infected blossoms off of the plant's I looked and could'nt see anything. what ever it is it has destroyed half our blooms. guess we will have to try sevenand see if that helps
