I am looking for websites that offer root cuttings from mums. I wanted to get a couple to try out, but every seed catalogue I look at want $5-$7 per cutting. Is there anywhere I can get them cheaper??

Hazzard Seeds has some liner stock, else try Harris Seed wholesale. Grimes doesn't deal that small.
Fall is the season for mums; but try Walmart or Home Depot or Lowe's, they might have some plants cheap.

Other option for mums and carnations (dianthus) is seed. You will get a lot of plants for cheap; Hazzard Seed and Harris Seed Wholesale have a good selection. You may not get blooms until next year if you start now.
