I was wondering how others prep their potatos for storage and how they are storing them.
Looking for ideas. Thank you!

1st you dig them and harden them off in the sun for an afternoon. Eat any with cuts from digging right away. Place them in a cool dark place. Periodocaly check on them and remove rotten ones.

Do you just leave them loose in crates or net bags? Do you pack them in saw dust or sand or anything?
I have read different storage stategies and needed to know what people are actually doing that works.

I keep mine in bushel baskets-in total darkness-and cool. Give them good air circulation. Check them periodically for rotten ones. Keep them away from apples.

Keep them away from onions too. I read to NOT wash them, leave them dirty, gives them some kind of protection.
