I start mine in the middle to the end of February here in CT. They will be ready to go into the garden by the middle of May in 4" peat pots. You are not too late. It's the perfect time to start them right now.

Give them nice and warm temps 75-85 should work the best. They can be trickier than tomatoes to germ if the heat isn't there.

Just found out that peppers may take up to 3 weeks to germinate.
I used to give up before they broke dirt. Now I know better, and will be more patient.

Will there be a problem germinating some ghost peppers that i had last year that I dehydrated? Did I cook the seeds or should they germinate ok.

Ned - Depends on what temp you dehydrated at -- if it wasn't too high they should still germinate but you might get a lower germ percentage. Only way to find out for sure is to try them !
