Never have grown one before, but I have a Zappa seedling that is about 12 inches long, in a peat pot in window and very leggy. Do I stake it up now in the pot or move it outside? Also how deep do I bury the stem. Thanks

Get it out of the pot, into the ground they hate to be transplanted..Direct seeding is the best for them

From cot to soil is about 7 inches of leg, should I bury that area? Thanks

I am always afraid of corn seed maggots so have always planted at root level. They seem to straighten out as they grow.
