An American, an Italian, and an Iraeli company have collaborated on the US's first full scale grafted plant production facility. The company named Tri Hishtil will operate on 42 acres here in Henderson county, NC and will bring 120 jobs to our area. They will produce grafted tomatoes and watermelons initially, moving to others later. A big congratulations to all the folks who worked hard to make this happen and to bring it here. Whaaahooo!

Hopefully this get the commercial grafting ball rolling here in this country.

An American, an Italian, and an Israeli sounds like the start of a good joke. Good for them though. Grafting has come a long way.

I have seen first hand this year how grafting a watermelon can help. I lost all my competition melons and almost all my eating melons to wilt this year. The only two plants that still don't have the wilt are grafts on C. ficifolia rootstock.
