Anybody have experience on when the optimum time to pull Rutabagas prior to weighoff. Night before? Morning of?Thanks for any help

Hi Joseph, I'm no expert on rutabagas, but I am a firm believer in leaving things on to the last minute. One year I tied for third place (to the ounce) with a giant pumpkin! If I had cut it the night before it would not have placed.

They take a lot of prep to remove soil and foliage

Thanks All, I'll remove night before so I can get all the roots I can and trim foliage the best I can. Hope I don't cut too much off the top but yet stay within the regs,lol. Going to try and find older pics of some at weighoffs to go by. Thanks Again.
