A zucchini is nothing more than a baby marrow. A marrow is simply a large zucchini.

Zucchini grows on bush type plants, marrow on ranking plants. Zucchini's will be smooth, most marrows won't be.

Your's is a marrow. If you leave it long enough, it might form bubbly skin.

I looked back into my squash records and this doesn't look to me like my marrows. Marrows do generally vine; however, there are zucchini variety which also vine. However, it does look to be a Guatemalan Blue Banana. This is a winter variety squash. The young fruits often appear to have a zucchini outer skin with ridges and lighter stripping. Marrows tend not to show a crooked neck or necessarily appear dark green. The necks are short and rather stocky on marrows. The leaves on the Blue Banana are also much smaller than the marrow. This seed dates back 1000 years before Columbus. Each fruit can be up to 5 # and have a dark orange flesh with a smooth texture with a fruity taste. These grow in much tighter spacing as your vines show. The variety of the marrow is not a dweller with many fruits closely spaced, so I hope this helps.
