I have a peach tree that started to produce about 2 years ago. The problem is the bugs and worms get to all the peaches before they get bigger than a golf ball. I have sprayed dormant oil on the tree before the leaves emerged in the spring to try and eliminate the worm problem. The peaches still get eaten. Is there other sprays/deterents that I can use to hopefully get a peach harvest this year? This is my first fruit tree that is producing, my 4 year old apple tree hasn't started yet.

In my opinion this is the best one a homeowner can get his hands on with out a license. https://www.lowes.com/pdl/Spectracide-Triazicide-For-Lawns-and-Landscapes-40-fl-oz-Concentrate-Lawn-Insect-Control/999976628?store_code=2395&cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-lwn-_-ggl-_-LIA_LWN_241_Chemicals-_-999976628-_-local-_-0-_-0&ds_rl=1286981&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv8jV1N6q9QIVOWtvBB2aNgGdEAYYAyABEgJX-_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Crawling bugs that climb the tree or flying bugs that lay eggs? That might matter in terms of how to fight back. You might even get other pests if they get past the bugs and ripen, like birds or raccoons or deer. Maybe a physical barrier, a net, would stop all comers. We have bugs that crawl up trees and for those a powder or some barrier (sticky resin?) would keep them from crawling up. Good luck.

Maybe a garlic repellant would repel the bugs and the neighbors. Hey this peach tastes like garlic! That, or surround the tree with punji sticks, lol! When it comes to a good peach you gotta do what you gotta do.

I got a peach tree with 5 varieties grafted on. I’ll go back and forth from organic and conventional solutions. I couldn’t do it all organic though. Every year the branches need support because they’re loaded with fruit. It’s my favorite tree in the yard. Last year Neem oil alone got rid of my bugs fine. I’ll use systemic pesticides like Warrior or Pasada once in a long while and nothing will bother it for the rest of the year. Do you get rid of old fruit? Even ones that fall on the ground can reintroduce pathogens. Look into pheromone disruption too.
