What are the major reasons for foaming stumps? I'm guessing Terts being cut off and heavy watering aren't a good idea. First time for me in 8 years. Happened at my nephews and he just uses manure and grass/leaves topsoil and sand. Built up about a foot above ground. Well mixed and aged. Tried saving it and ended up cutting it off at about 2'. Thoughts?
