I just read this link on Garden's Alive. Now I know why two of my tomato plants are 4 months old an 1 foot tall, when everything else looks fine; the corn next to them are 7 feet tall now and barely starting to show ears... Excellent info. I'll keep it in mind when I'm preparing compost in the fall.

I have read this before ,but never had a problem with it. I have had tomatoes planted within 10' of one in my grandads patch. The patch is plowed deep every spring before tilling so it may help?

Only certain plants are sensitive. Others will never even notice. I psoted a link to a list here about a year ago. Try a site search for "walnut".
