Crossed the border at St. Stephen into Calais Maine. Ate at Bugaboos Steakhouse and had the best steak of my life. After a bad nights sleep, room next to the elevator, we headed on to Augusta and made some awesome deals at the outlets off some exit I don’t remember. From there we headed to the NH border and proceeded to North Conway. We eventually camped at Attatash, a ski resort that offered Canadians a great deal. I don’t really ski but it was a great week. The people were real, honest and mostly blue collar, my kind of people. Reminds me of people in rural Nova Scotia. I will cherish these memories forever.
Where am I going ? This is my wish , to things going back to normal. I want to continue this Journey way deeper into the US. I have seen most of my great country, now I want to see yours.
Let’s all do our part.

I'd try seeing something different than what you can in Canada. Take the App trail down, dive deep into the smaller areas like east Tennessee, West Va, and Northern Georgia. Fish the beaches of tropical Florida with people from Texas, Mississippi and Alabama with deep southern drawls wanting to bait your hook so you can catch a fish (friendliest people). Go down to the Keys for a real tropical feel. Head west into Louisiana and check out what swamps and what a "plank buttress" is. I'm skipping a lot, but further west do the tourist spot of Fort Worth, Texas. I watched kids ride bulls the for a state championship there in 2009 in the stockyards like you guys play hockey. After that, stay south and do New Mexico and Arizona. Anywhere will work. They are mind blowing and beautiful states... desert scenery and mountains are awesome. Think Tombstone. From there west into California, and I have only been to LA so someone else can advise. lol

I can agree with Arizona especially this time of year. I have done the Grand Canyon meteor crater and Hoover Dam. Its just nice driving straight roads and dry. Coastal camping in California and the redwoods and the golden gate bridge. I mostly agree about sticking with rural routes there can be some long stretches without services though. Funny... the one time I coulnt find a gas station was in San Francisco though.

Too many places to see. On BBC earth yesterday they did a spot on Glen Canyon/ lake Powel, absolutely beautiful. I could spend a month by myself there.
