Another .25 % interest rate hike. Companies are laying people off which reduces productivity, also companies that want loans to grow and increase productivity are hampered by high borrowing costs.
Less productivity = inflation.
More inflation = higher interest rates.
Higher interest rates = less productivity.
Its a vicious cycle!
We saw under Trump that lower interest rates DO NOT equal inflation. Less government spending is what would really reduce inflation but if there's one thing covid did, it did give the government an even greater drunkenne$$ for largesse? The USA is lucky to have such a great economy, but if corrupt people outnumber smart people, our economy will head towards that of a third world dictatorship.
