This is being handled not in the best interest of the American people. They want us to believe it is no big deal. But it really is a BFD. Some are comparing it to Chernobyl already.

"Fish and pets are dying in the Ohio town where a massive train derailment happened on February 3. The story has started to make headlines after residents say that it was suppressed for days. Security footage shows that the train had been on fire for at least 20 miles before it went off the rails. The rail company, Norfolk Southern Railway, said that it conducted a “controlled breach of several rail cars.” Meaning they burned them in order to keep them from exploding. The images of the burn are apocalyptic. Who is at fault here? Did they have to burn? Is this a climate apocalypse?"

The poor folks of the small town Palestine, Ohio, where this happened, are concerned about permanent environmental damage and the safety of continuing to live there with their families. Will the government step in & do the right thing as it is intended to do ?

Probably lawyers will be able to solve this one... the Pfizer bust by project Veritas should lead to a lawyer takedown of that entire company but probably wont because of the privacy violations? A class action lawsuit should solve this one though.

What a shame, how did this happen? Why did this happen? I am not scared of carbon dioxide as pollution (I am a horticulturist My plants will love it!) LOL

I am scared of stuff like vinyl chloride or nuclear radiation in our environment.

This link gives us some information of what vinyl chloride is and how it affects humans. I think only the future will tell how much of this stuff got into the ground water. I don't know how easily this stuff gets into the environment especially since it is a gas that is heavier than air. Perhaps the biggest problem will be getting it out of areas that are hollows, or low lying areas. I am hopeful that things will be good and that most of the toxin has been dispersed away from the site.

This article says there are 1,000 derailments per year. So even if a dozen trains were sabotaged, statistically it would just amount to nothing but a bit of background noise, unless the resulting accidents were catastrophic. It sounds like the industry (with Congress enabling it to do so) is making far more profits than forward progress in safety.

I walked out of the house Thursday morning and the air definitely stunk. A bit skunky, like burning plastic. It seems unlikely that it could be from such a small source so far away but it does make you wonder.
