The longer I stay here in the Philippines the more I believe I made a good decision to live here. Unless you are talking imported food, fresh over here still means fresh for the most part at least. There is a wide variety of fresh & very healthy foods here available in fresh markets,from street vendors & in grocery stores.

I know firsthand its a lot easier & cheaper to produce mediocre product than a really exceptional product and people here in the USA want to invest their money in stocks and real estate, generally I dont think people here want to invest very much of their income into the food side of their health.

If you ask the age old "what would you do if you had a million dollars?" I dont think even 1% of people would say "I'd buy better quality food"... I don't think it's part of our culture but food is a bit more important in other cultures.

Gritty, from pics it looks like you have a decent chunk of land to use. I am surprised you already don't grow a lot of your own food. You can even grow upside down tomatoes...

Just pulled two frames of fresh honey from the bees yesterday. I have an acre or so to play around with. The more I produce my own stuff the more I feel like the stuff from the grocery store doesnt measure up...
But success at hobby farming is not without its ups and downs. I accidentally dropped a full box of bees yesterday, it was the opposite of good beekeeping!!!

I just got 2 queens with there bees,.they were in my yard hanging on 2 different trees,
Little kins i need to get some bee supplys would you know where i can order without it being so expensive?
