The mission statement for BP.com says one of the goals is to help new growers get started. I've posted my soil test results on the soil test and analysis message board asking for advice or suggestions and don't get much response. I know there are multiple requests for this type of advice this time of year and maybe I'm too impatient. I've even emailed some of the "experts" directly without response. I would appreciate any suggestions. thanks,

You need to give us more information than you have provided. How big of an area are you growing in? What have you done to this soil? You are asking for some exact requirements and only giving half of the equation. So maybe the reason your questions are not answered are for good reasons. Shannon

i'm not sure what is going on....is the mission statement of bigpumpkins.com being questioned ?
it is christmas...people have LIVES. they are BUSY. a mission statement is for a school, company, etc who have full time employees working towards it. it is december ....it is not the expert growers' full time job to help us new people out by reading forums.
i'm not picking on you or anything, so smile before this becomes war. :) just remember that pumpkin growing believe it or not is not always #1 in life. (although for some it is)

Christy's right. Pumpkins are second to breathing & just ahead of eating. But we do seem to have our priorities in order. LOL
I thought I emailed you about a soil test Jim.

Sorry, I jumped the gun just a little. The problem was a lost email message and my impatience. No harm, no foul. I received the information I was looking for and I've got all winter to figure out how I'm going to put it to work in the patch. I do want to thank all of you for your advice and Happy Holidays. Jim
