Subject: how many sprays do you use?

after reading thru posts about variouse diseases and such got me thinking. if one said you need these what would they be. I am up on the novice list here. last year i only used alliet after the fact steve in ct helped me. would ridomil be one to use as well?? seems tobacco sprays work well with pumpkins.

Hi Joe,
We finally formalized our club. I'll email you some details.
If we were to only use one fungicide, Chlorothalonil would be the one since it does control most of what we're after preventively. But if we have escapes, then some sort of (sic) systemic (really local acropetal penetrant) will be needed to get & keep things in check.
That said, my personal fungicide aresenal includes (but Probably wont require the use) of:
Alliette Banner (Propiconizole) Eagle (Myclobutanil - same as Nova) T-Storm (Thiophanate-methyl - same as Topsin-M) Chlorothalonil Mancozeb Heritage (Azoxystroblin - same as Quadris) Compass (Trifloxystroblin - same as Flint) Kocide (Copper Hydroxide)
It's good to have choices.
Our insecticide choices here are much simpler.
Merit (Imidacloprid - same as Admire) long lasting systemic prevention. Talstar (Bifenthrin - same as Capture) for contact residual Permethrin-Pro (same as Pounce & Astro) quicker acting contact.
